La Voie des Vignes in Dijon - 2 days
What do you do when the weather in the mountains in uncertain, and you have 2-days weekend and some energy to burn ? Welcome to Burgundy, where wines and local gastronomy will comfort you.
The weather looked quite uncertain for this weekend in May, a weekend when we were supposed to be climbing in Aosta valley.
After hesitating a few days, we finally decided last-minute to go to Burgundy : a quick search on MeteoBlue/where2go confirmed our decision (https://www.meteoblue.com/fr/meteo/outdoorsports/where2go/lausanne_suisse_2659994). In the 100km surrounding Lausanne, the weather looked best in...Burgundy !
So here we are, after a few months without training, getting ready on our road bikes for a two days bike trip.
Two days of cycling on the Voie des Vignes in Burgundy, with a gastronomic stop in Dijon to enjkoy local wines and food.
Very nice bakeries on the way, and Beaune is definitely worth a détour : the Hôtel-Dieu is magical!
